This position will have variable hours based on the seasonal demand in our taproom. During summer and fall you can expect 30-40 hours per week, and during the winter and spring, you can expect 12-20 hours per week. This position requires weekend shifts as well as weekday shifts and requires flexibility. In addition to your hourly pay, you will also receive great tips for your exceptional customer service!

Summary

As a Server/Bartender, your role is to be a Hospitality Service Specialist. You will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Your core skills in bartending, food service, food handling, and restaurant experience will enable you to efficiently take orders and serve beverages and food. With a focus on communication and creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all, you will engage with guests while ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Your proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) systems and time management will enhance operational efficiency, making you a vital part of our team in this vibrant and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in bartending and in food service/restaurant environments Knowledge of and a passion for craft beer is an asset. Friendly demeanour and positive attitude. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Square or other similar systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team. Time management skills to handle busy service periods. A very strong work ethic that makes you extremely reliable and dependable. Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.

Responsibilities

Greet and serve customers with a friendly demeanour, ensuring a positive dining experience. Take and process orders accurately using POS system. Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers on our craft beer, beverages, and food options. Handle food and beverages safely while adhering to sanitation and food safety standards. Manage cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness of the bar, bathroom, and dining areas, ensuring a welcoming and tidy environment. Ensure that product displays and merchandise is well stocked regularly during your shift. Communicate effectively with guests to address inquiries and provide exceptional service.
