Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and responding to their needs promptly. Assist with food preparation and serving as needed in compliance with food safety standards. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and preparation. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the shift.

Requirements

Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
