Job Summary

Join our fun and professional team in Wodbine! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Server/Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment, as well as providing full table service and working on bakery tasks. We are seeking an experienced server for a part time position, barista experience is a huge bonus. MUST have at least 1 full year of serving experience in a restaurant to be considered for an interview Must be able to work cohesively as part of a team as we do pooled tips. Must be able to handle a high stress environment and a fast pace. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and a love for coffee culture. All successful candidates must be fluent in english and have a current preserve.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items. Maintain cleanliness of the cafe and dining area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order processing and transactions. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately while adhering to cashiering protocols. Ensure proper food handling practices are followed at all times. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and notifying management when reordering is necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while managing time effectively.

Experience

Previous experience in food service or the food industry is required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Experience operating POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
