Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team at The Basement. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and well cared for during their visit.

Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanor. Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings. Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system. Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while ensuring presentation meets our standards. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Process payments accurately, handling cash and credit transactions efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe dining environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.

Skills

Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required. Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided. A genuine desire to help others and create memorable experiences for guests.
