We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, efficiency in food service, and the ability to manage multiple tables while maintaining a positive attitude. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages
Assist with food handling and food preparation as needed to support kitchen staff
Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of dining areas in accordance with food safety standards
Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and giving correct change
Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to answer guest questions confidently
Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations
Follow all sanitation procedures and safety protocols to uphold health standards
Requirements
Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
Good time management skills to serve multiple tables simultaneously without compromising quality of service
Basic math skills for billing and cash handling purposes
Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure
Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends and holidays as needed
