The award winning Aegir Room in the award winning Oswego Hotel is looking for a part-time server. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for customer service and a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have a memorable experience from start to finish.

We are a fast paced restaurant. We are looking for a server that is able to work without supervision and is capable of making their own beverages.

This position will likely transition to fulltime (if desired) in the Spring

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables and service stations. Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, adhering to food safety standards. Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and communication of orders. Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation.

Experience

Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is essential. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential. Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change accurately. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
