We're thrilled to be opening our newest outlet--Cassette, located within Gladstone House on Queen West. Cassette is an elevated, retro-inspired diner and live venue offering nostalgic classics with modern flair, paired with nightly programming like live music, karaoke, and more. Whether it's a show night or a spontaneous visit, Cassette is a come-as-you-are kind of place, and we're building a team that reflects that same energy: creative, collaborative, and plugged in.

Position: Server

The Role at a Glance: As a Server for Cassette, you'll be the face of the brand and set the tone for every guests' experience. You'll know our menus inside and out, be passionate about our programming, manage flow with finesse, and engage with guests from early bites to late-night singalongs.

Your Day To Day Duties:

Welcome guests and set the tone by introducing Cassette's menu of signature dishes -- with personality and polish. Own the table from first greet to final farewell. Anticipate needs, read the room, and guide the guest experience with attention, intuition, and just the right amount of charm. Take orders like a seasoned pro, fielding modifications, special requests, and dietary preferences with clarity and care -- and communicating them to the kitchen like a translator of good taste. Recommend with intention. Whether it's a cocktail that matches their mood or a dish pairing that hits just right, you bring flavor, vibe, and knowledge to every suggestion. Deliver food and drinks with finesse, timing, and style. From the pass to the table, you move like service choreography -- smooth, precise, and always guest-focused. Clear and reset tables like it's second nature, keeping the flow clean between dinner service and live music, and making sure the space stays sharp without feeling stuffy. Keep your section looking as good as your service. Wipe, polish, organize, and reset -- it's all part of maintaining the "relaxed but refined" Cassette feel. Handle transactions with accuracy and ease using MICROS/POS systems -- you're quick on the keys, clean with comps, and fluent in Silverware and OpenTable flow. Hold the line on service standards. You know Archive's health, safety, and hospitality protocols and you live them -- no shortcuts, no slips. Support the bigger picture. You're not just working your section -- you're helping lead the shift, guiding newer team members, and keeping the floor running smooth in collaboration with FOH and BOH. Other duties as assigned by management.

You have:

2+ years in high-volume restaurant or venue service. Cocktail and food knowledge with a passion for storytelling. Confidence, calm, and genuine warmth. Flexible evening and weekend availability.

Special Requirements and Certifications:

Smart Serve Certification Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job

Originally built in 1891, it has now been meticulously restored and reimagined as a 58-room boutique hotel and charismatic gathering spot.

Since 1889, Gladstone Hotel has been a pillar of the West Queen West community offering a space that promotes creativity and collaboration while fostering inclusivity. Over the past several years, the Gladstone Hotel has evolved in many ways but has continued to be recognized and valued as a very social and interactive gathering place, most recently being featured in Michelins' Toronto Hotel Guide
