We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our Bar and Grill team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication and multitasking skills. The Server plays a vital role in delivering an outstanding dining experience and supporting the overall success of our restaurant. This could lead to permanent work if desired.
Duties
Must have a -Serving it Right- Certificate.
Food Safe is not required but can lead to extra work in kitchen if you have experience.
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive guest service throughout their visit
Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Oracle POS, ensuring proper entry and processing
Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained during service
Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation guidelines
Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
Skills
Proficiency with POS systems, especially Oracle POS, for order entry and cashiering
Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
Knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures within the food industry
Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; kitchen experience is a plus
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables simultaneously
Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling
Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience
Effective communication skills for working with team members and interacting with guests
Familiarity with food preparation processes is beneficial but not required
