Server Job Summary

As a

Server

at Yakyoto Japanese Grill, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience by delivering high-quality service, engaging with guests, and ensuring their needs are met. You will introduce customers to the unique

yakiniku

dining style, take orders, serve food and beverages, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

Server

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner. Provide menu recommendations and explain the yakiniku dining experience. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Serve food and drinks while ensuring proper presentation. Monitor tables and anticipate guests' needs to provide excellent service. Assist guests with grilling instructions and answer any menu-related questions. Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently. Process payments accurately using the POS system. Work closely with kitchen staff and food runners to ensure smooth service. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area. Uphold food safety and hygiene standards.

Smart Serve certification

will be mandatory as you begin training to prepare and serve cocktails and mocktails.

Server Job Qualifications

Previous serving experience in a restaurant setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Japanese cuisine is a plus but not required (training provided). Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Team player with a positive and professional attitude.

Smart Serve certification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
