Chilangos Mexican Restaurant started at the Belleville Waterfront & Multicultural Festival ten years ago. It's a family-owned Mexican food restaurant recognized for its authentic dishes, great atmosphere, and excellent customer service. We're seeking Servers to continue operating at our high standards and join our incredible team.

Requirements:

What will it take to become our ideal candidate?

You have at least 1 year of experience as a server in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant. Smart Serve Certification required . Whims Certification required. Worker health and safety in 4 steps certification required. You have computer literacy and experience using POS systems and cash handling. You are a team player, motivated to create the best customer experience possible, energetic, proactive, enthusiastic, respectful, responsible, quick learner, punctual and reliable. You remain calm and motivated in a fast-paced environment. You can multitask. You have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. You can work in a standing position, bending and moving around for long periods and lift and/or move up to fifty lbs. You have the flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required. You are bilingual (English - Spanish/ French). That's an asset! Tip pool share Agreement applied.
Role and responsibilities

What are some of the core activities you'll be performing?

You'll greet every customer, making them feel comfortable and letting them know you're there to take care of them. You'll take customers' food and beverage orders and enter them into our POS system. You'll promptly deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to customers or prepare take-out orders. You'll ensure customers are satisfied with the food and service. You'll prepare the final bill, present the check to customers and process payment. You'll respond promptly and courteously to requests or questions about our menu and services. You'll perform general cleaning duties at the front of the house, clearing tables, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, etc. You'll inform the Front-of-the-house supervisor of any customer situation, inventory shortages or situations that might violate the restaurant policies, rules, or procedures. You'll perform other related duties as assigned by the Front-of-the-house supervisor or Managers.
