Position Summary



Servers provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring each guest has a positive dining experience. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities



Greet and seat guests in a warm, friendly manner. Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations. Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system. Deliver meals and beverages promptly and ensure accuracy of orders. Monitor guest satisfaction and respond quickly to any concerns or requests. Maintain clean and organized tables, sections, and service areas. Process payments, issue receipts, and handle cash or card transactions accurately. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations. Communicate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service. Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking and cleaning. Promote daily specials, events, and upsell where appropriate. Work collaboratively with team members to provide consistent service.

Qualifications & Skills



Previous serving experience preferred but not required (training provided) Smart Serve certification (required) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and customer focus Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Cash handling experience an asset Positive attitude and willingness to support the team

Working Conditions



Can be a fast-paced environment Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Requires lifting up to 25 lbs and extended periods of standing/walking

Experience



Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred; training will be provided Experience in customer service or serving is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is an asset Smart Serve Certification is required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for success in this role
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$26.22 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week

Work Location: In person
