Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering system. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards. Provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests regarding menu items and specials, enhancing their dining experience through effective upselling techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments. Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety regulations. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of food served. Manage time effectively to balance multiple tables while providing attentive service.

Skills

Strong hospitality skills with a passion for providing excellent guest services. Previous restaurant experience preferred, particularly in serving roles. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Experience in kitchen or culinary settings is advantageous but not mandatory. Exceptional time management skills to efficiently handle busy periods. Ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members.
