The golf course is accessible to all levels of players and can be walked or driven at your leisure. With 10-minute tee time intervals, there is no rush for you to enjoy this scenic course. Job description SUMMARY The Server position is responsible for directly servicing guests in facilities to include the Westward-Ho! Restaurant. They are responsible for ensuring the highest level of guest service by adhering to all University Golf Club\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures during operating hours, while working in a clean and safe environment, and efficiently executing and achieving all departmental goals (financial, guest satisfaction, teamwork, and staff fulfillment). The Server position will report directly to the UGC Restaurant Manager with a commitment to teamwork and a focus on achieving the department\xe2\x80\x99s overall vision and goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Essential \xc2\xb7 Services aspects in specific food and beverage assigned areas and operations and acknowledges, greets and thanks all staff and guests \xc2\xb7 Services restaurant to ensure proper room preparation, execution, and clean up \xc2\xb7 Focuses on tasks centered on daily operations including floor service, guest relations, teamwork, cleaning, order taking, payment processing, serving food and drink, and adhering to Club policies and procedures Staff Expectations \xc2\xb7 Attends seasonal training and orientation \xc2\xb7 Ensures all club and departmental policies are adhered to including: uniforms, opening/closing procedures, codes of conduct, cleaning schedules, and operational systems \xc2\xb7 Communicates effectively with other team members \xc2\xb7 Learns from coaching when an area is identified that needs improvement \xc2\xb7 Utilizes empowerment to take initiative to drive sales and repeat business \xc2\xb7 Understands the restaurant organizational chart \xc2\xb7 Fulfills all aspects outlined in job description \xc2\xb7 Able to use the Lightspeed POS system effectively and efficiently \xc2\xb7 Responsible for cash/card handling procedures and provides an accurate, balanced deposit of all sales Departmental Teamwork \xc2\xb7 Strives to achieve departmental goals and adheres to the overall UGC F&B vision, mission, and core values \xc2\xb7 Works with F&B Managers, Chef, and Events Department as required \xc2\xb7 Communicates effectively with the food and beverage management team with a commitment to collaboration, teamwork, discussion, adaptability, and adherence \xc2\xb7 Communicates and teams well with other departments (i.e., Banquets) ensuring assigned responsibilities are carried out \xc2\xb7 Implements and supports all Club and departmental initiatives and programs as requested by management Departmental Results \xc2\xb7 Ensures compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines \xc2\xb7 Protects Club, staff, and guests by adhering to all safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated guests \xc2\xb7 Ensuring all inventory control policies are executed and adhered to \xc2\xb7 Controls costs of all food and beverage outlets by assisting management, as requested, in portion and inventory control \xc2\xb7 Maximizes food and beverage sales by identifying and targeting sales opportunities through \xe2\x80\x9cup-selling\xe2\x80\x9d Customer Relations \xc2\xb7 Informs management of any customer enquiries and complaints and utilizes problem solving techniques to resolve issues \xc2\xb7 Informs management of guest inquiries, concerns or comments and provides solutions; acquires feedback from guests, staff, and co-workers in order to ensure satisfaction and/or implements service improvement ideas; \xc2\xb7 Encourages customer feed back \xc2\xb7 Ensures guest service standards are implemented and executed at a high level \xc2\xb7 Maintains high visibility at the course by greeting and listening to customers\xe2\x80\x99 comments and needs - Must be available to work weekends Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal Salary: From $15.65 per hour Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal Pay: From $15.65 per hour Benefits:
