Duties
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering procedures, including cash handling and basic math calculations
Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations
Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
Use reservation management platforms such as OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize guest flow
Collaborate with team members to uphold a lively restaurant atmosphere that encourages guest engagement
Support host/host duties when necessary by managing waitlists and guiding guests to their tables
Experience
Previous restaurant or food service experience mandatory, especially in full service setting
Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable
Experience in guest services, food handling, sanitation, and food safety practices is essential
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
Proven ability in upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue growth
Excellent communication skills for effective guest interaction and team collaboration
Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
Prior experience with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms is a plus
Knowledge of culinary techniques or kitchen experience can be beneficial but is not required
