We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
Duties
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering processes including cash handling and basic math calculations
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
Assist in food preparation when necessary and support kitchen staff with basic tasks
Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
Maintain cleanliness of service areas, tables, and dining spaces in compliance with sanitation guidelines
Provide guest services that promote a positive dining experience, including addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Experience
Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable but not required; training will be provided for those new to the industry
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques is beneficial
Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction
Ability to perform basic math accurately for cashiering and transaction purposes
Experience with food industry operations including serving, upselling, and cash handling will be advantageous
