We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in customer service, food handling, and restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their dining experience
Take accurate orders using POS systems like Micros POS and communicate effectively with kitchen staff
Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
Ensure all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed during food preparation and service
Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with sanitation standards
Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed and support kitchen staff during busy periods
Manage time efficiently to serve multiple tables promptly without compromising quality of service
Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure a positive dining experience
Experience
Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is preferred
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests courteously and professionally
Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices in the food industry
Ability to perform basic math for cashiering and transaction purposes
Experience with food preparation, serving, and hospitality operations is a plus
Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively while managing time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
