We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service and hospitality, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and a passion for the food industry. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing attentive service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
Duties
Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing menus and answering any initial questions.
Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, specifically Micros POS when applicable.
Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.
Manage multiple tables efficiently, utilizing time management skills to ensure timely service.
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, adhering to sanitation guidelines throughout the shift.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
Assist in food preparation as needed, demonstrating basic kitchen experience when required.
Provide exceptional guest services by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly.
Experience
Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a solid understanding of food handling practices.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing tabs effectively.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices within the restaurant environment.
Experience in upselling menu items is a plus, along with an understanding of the hospitality industry.
