THE ROLE
Since its inception, Hylands Golf Club has matured into a top-quality golf facility that offers a full range of services and amenities to its 1200 members and their guests. A true jewel among Canadian Forces golf facilities, Hylands continues to host numerous regional, national and international events. As part of CFMWS, our mandate is to provide affordable golf to our local military personnel and their families. As a Server, you provide an excellent customer experience for our golf clubhouse operations. During big events to every day moments, you will build a rapport with the military community and get to experience various military traditions. The server will greet customers, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages. You will operate a Point of Sales system, take orders, relay them to the kitchen and bar staff and serve food and beverages. Full availability is required as shifts range from mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. This is a role where everyone works as one team to provide the best customer experience for our members and contributes in creating a positive workplace. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses High school diploma AND some food service or cash experience.
OR An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered.
Experience In serving food and beverages
In cash handling
In providing customer service Knowledge Of food preparation
Of food safety practices
Of health and safety practices
Competencies, Skills and Abilities Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

OTHER INFORMATION
This unionized position is open to all interested parties. Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement for the UFCW local 175 bargaining unit at CFSG Ottawa-Gatineau. This is a seasonal position with an annual period of April - November.
