Job Description


:Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Shift Manager, F&B, the Server is responsible for delivering an exceptionally elevated dining experience by providing attentive and personalized service to all guests of Gordon Ramsay Steak. Each guest should feel welcomed and leave with a memorable experience. The Server is expected to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a fine dining experience and upholding the Gordon Ramsay Standard. This role will work with team members to maintain the highest quality of service and hospitality, while ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure seated guests receive a warm welcome within a timely fashion.
  • Build rapport with guests, understand their dietary needs, assist with selecting menu items, make recommendations, enquire about their dining experience, and add notes to their profile for personalized future visits.
  • Provide upscale service, demonstrating extensive food and wine knowledge in an elevated dining environment.
  • Ensure all orders are taken within a timely fashion, are accurate and meet the Gordon Ramsay Standard. Check back with guests to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Provide excellent guest relations by taking prompt action to resolve guest comments and complaints quickly to ensure satisfied guests and repeat business.
  • Present bills upon request, process payments accurately, and ensure correct handling of cash transactions when necessary.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with the front of house service team to create exceptional guest experiences, while consistently demonstrating fine dining knowledge and proper serving etiquette.
  • Assist Porters and Server Assistants with running food and beverages, resetting tables, and maintaining a seamless service flow.
  • Communicate effectively with back of house and management to anticipate and resolve issues.
  • Stay informed about the menu, including allergen information, to provide accurate information regarding food preparation with extensive detail and menu knowledge.
  • Exercise sound judgment when serving alcoholic beverages according to Serving it Right.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualification Requirements:
  • Minimum three years serving experience, with a minimum of one year in a high-end or fine dining restaurant.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Post secondary education in the hospitality industry an asset.
  • Serving it Right Certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication.
  • A passion for providing Great Experiences and Memories to all clients, both external and internal.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines with particular attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability plan effectively and work without direct supervision.
