:Position SummaryChances Dawson Creek is currently looking for a detail orientated Server 1 ready to hit the ground running and be part of the Food and Beverage team. Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager, this position will be responsible in establishing a safe and welcoming work environment.   • Providing patrons with the best service possible in a professional manner
  • Selling food and beverage with an upbeat and positive attitude
  • Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage items available in the facility
  • Use of P.O.S. Micros system; Handling of cash and credit; balancing of sales at end of shift
  • Cleaning of tables: clear dishes, empties and properly wiped down
  • Making sure tables and chairs are organized in section
  • Restocking, cleaning, and organizing of all related work equipment and areas
  • Ongoing practice of Serving It Right
  • Assist other co-workers as needed &/or directed
  • Follow opening and closing server duties
  • Adhering to all policies as they relate to functions of the position.
  • Maintaining a professional, constructive, and supportive work environment with all Casino staff, by practicing open communication and effective team efforts
  • Preserving Casino and guest confidentiality while at work and away from work
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum one-year relevant experience in a high-volume environment
  • Minimum two years cash handling experience in a customer service position
  • Ability to operate adding machines, currency counters and other related equipment
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record and Credit Check
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Must be available to work all shifts including nights and weekends
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet stipulated deadlines
  • Serving It Right certificate
  • Previous Micros or other P.O.S. experience an asset
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
