Septic Vacuum Truck Driver
Job Description
Green Valley Environmental is a well-established septic maintenance company serving Ottawa and beyond. Our team is growing, and we're looking for a dependable, safety-minded driver for our Vacuum Truck.
Duties:
Operating a septic vacuum truck to pump waste from customer septic tanks
Locating and lifting septic tank lids and hoses to preform pump out
Dumping full truck load at various disposal sites
Communicating with other drivers and dispatch to maintain efficiency on your route
Taking care of your assigned truck to maintain a professional image
Doing Pre and Post trip inspections and keeping Driver's Log book up to date
Providing help to other members of the team when asked and performing other duties as assigned
The skills you bring:
Ability to lift 50lbs+ and execute the physical tasks of the job
Ability to work outside year-round in all weather conditions
Excellent customer service and communication skills and experience
Patience and care when operating a truck, especially in winter
Experience operating mechanical and hydraulic systems considered an asset
Valid DZ Driver's License with driver's abstract and 3+years driving in Canada
Ability to work alone or with a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
Licence/Certification:
Air Brake Endorsement (required)
