The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Septic Driver to join our team. The mission of the role is to provide safe, reliable, and knowledgeable septic pump out services that protect customers' property, while also providing professional and compliant waste transport and disposal. On paper it's about pumping and hauling waste. In reality, it's about providing a necessary service that keeps our communities clean and safe.

This is an evening shift, Monday to Friday, 2-10pm. This position reports to the Septic Supervisor. We have a structured training program that includes training on the operation of the truck and systems, pumping procedures, and best practices for customer service.

We are located in Headingley, Manitoba. There is no bus service, so you must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Compensation: $22-26 per hour


What you'll be doing:

Operating a septic vacuum truck to pump waste from customer tanks, residential and commercial Lifting septic tank lids and hoses, using fresh water to rinse the tank and clean surfaces Cleaning waste pits and trenches using the vacuum pump and fresh water Providing expertise on the function of septic and waste systems to customers Dumping full truck load at various disposal sites Communicating with other drivers and dispatch to maintain efficiency on your route Taking care of your assigned truck to maintain a professional image Providing help to other members of the team when asked and performing other duties as assigned


The skills you bring:

Ability to lift 60 lbs and execute the physical tasks of the job Previous experience driving a Class 3 truck considered an asset Ability to work outside year-round in all weather conditions Excellent customer service and communication skills and experience Patience and care when operating a truck, especially in winter Experience operating mechanical and hydraulic systems considered an asset Class 3 Driver's License with driver's abstract Ability to work alone or with a team
