BIMM is booming, so we're looking for a SEO Specialist (full time (40/hrs a week) contract starting ASAP for 3 months with potential for extension) to join our team!

THE ROLE

Our Experience Design department offers end-to-end product and service design, with in-house practices including: Research, UX, UI, Content, and Production. As a dedicated specialist, this role will help establish SEO standards and services for our organization, lending their expertise to clients. You will help us build out and lead an SEO practice that grows to serve multiple client accounts.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The SEO Specialist plays a key role in ensuring that content is optimized for reach and engagement. They complement our Content Design and Production practices by analyzing, testing, and adjusting copy across our clients' digital ecosystems, both inside and outside a CMS platform. The end goal is to set our clients up for success with best SEO practices that deliver high-impact and high-performing content.

REQUIREMENTS

Must Haves

  • 3-5 years of relevant SEO experience.
  • Collaborate with writers in Content Design and CMS teams in Production to review and optimize copy before pushing to publish.
  • Ability to enhance copy for search engines and high-ranking search results.
  • Remain informed on the latest trends and updates to SEO for major search engine platforms (Google, Bing, etc).
  • Proactively work with our product teams and clients to gain access to performance insights, marketing strategies, as well as data and analytics as needed for evaluation
  • Ability to adjust approach to SEO based on lifecycle of content: evergreen versus timely, core content versus landing pages.
  • Establish SEO guidelines across various streams of our clients' digital ecosystems.
  • Understand and provide guidance for technical SEO tactics involving: metadata, keywords, URL structure and slugs, hosting, indexing, and page loading.
  • Work with both internal and external Marketing and CRM teams to understand the objectives of inbound marketing, brand communication, information architecture, and the competitive landscape.
  • Ability to organize insights and solutions into a roadmap of short- and long-term actions for our product teams.
  • Ability to identify and utilize reliable, industry-leading tools/platforms for our growing SEO practice.
  • A willingness to learn, take feedback, ask for help, and support teammates.
  • A willingness to educate and advocate for all things SEO.
Nice to Have
  • Experience working within an agency or consultancy setting.
  • Experience working within an Agile delivery framework.
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite: Confluence, Jira.
  • Experience working with Designers and Developers.
