Senior Workday Business Analyst

Job Description


We are looking for a Senior Workday Business Analyst for a multi-year opportunity, starting with a 12-month contract in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Hybrid schedule, at least 4 days in the office. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.

Role Description
Our client is seeking a highly capable Workday Business Analyst to enhance the performance of their HR technologies. In this role, your duties will include optimizing the performance of our HR systems, gathering data, and making recommendations based on performance metrics. You will also be required to design new HRIS processes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, configure, and implement solutions that satisfies design requirements.
  • Maintain healthy relationships with key business stakeholders for operational, day to day activities.
  • Tier 3 support, solution and technical requirements, operational tasks, testing, incident management, upgrades and patch execution, test plans, operational support manuals.
  • Support projects by providing technical subject matter expertise.
  • Plan, test and support system releases and maintenance windows.
  • Configure and support Workday business processes.
  • Liaise with Workday regarding system issues, upgrades, and outages.
  • Maintain a good understanding of data configuration and data objects in Workday.
  • Identify opportunities for improved business/functional performance and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with multiple business functions to deliver Workday systems enhancements including system functionality and reporting.
  • Develop requirements using interviews, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis of tasks and workflows.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, summarize low-level information into a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Assist business users in developing process documentation that is consistent across teams, with a consistent review and update process.
  • Create and run integrations via EIB loads.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 2+ years of business analyst experience.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business and/or Computer Science.
  • 2 years of Workday HCM experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (queries, lookups, etc.).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in HRIS Analysis.
