HDR is currently seeking Senior Water Project Manager who has interest in delivering water and wastewater related projects in BC and Washington by developing and leveraging existing resources. This position will require an individual with a passion for challenges and working across regional boundaries while identifying and pursuing opportunities which will support HDR\xe2\x80\x99s long-term growth initiatives. The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to grow within HDR\xe2\x80\x99s career talent development ecosystem.

The successful candidate will be involved in project delivery, project management, technical leadership, quality management, client relationships and mentoring.

Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Water Project Manager, we\'ll count on you to:

  • Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity,
  • Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently,
  • Establish client relations and be involved with contractual, design and production meetings,
  • Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines,
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule,
  • Work with the Business/Accounting Manager, Senior Project Managers and Engineers, Project Controllers and Managing Principal for project reviews
  • Implement QA/QC procedures
  • Execute training for personnel as established by strategic plans
  • Supervise project staff and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers
  • Maintain professional engineering registration
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in an Engineering or closely related field
  • Maintains a P.Eng registration and has related technical experience experienced in development and management of diverse teams \xe2\x80\xa2Experience working on the design and evaluation of drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping and conveyance projects is a must
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
  • Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
  • Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand
