White Oak Water is a specialized water advisory team localized in Calgary, AB. We develop and implement water strategies and operational frameworks focused on logistic, environmental and commercial sustainability for Canadian Hydraulic Fracturing Operations. Our business covers the full water lifecycle from sourcing, transportation, storage, usage, and waste disposal, integrating various disciplines to offer a holistic service to our clients. We work collaboratively with producers, vendors, and consultants to find the best solution to complex water challenges.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced

Senior Water Engineer

to join our

Calgary, Alberta

team and contribute to our mission of responsible resource development. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing water-related aspects of our operations. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices. They will be involved in a broad range of civil and water related disciplines, including hydrology, hydraulics, operational logistics, infrastructure development, and regulatory/environmental frameworks.

Responsibilities will include:

Develop and implement water management strategies aligned with our industry standards and corporate objectives. Strategic guidance on water management practices within the oil and gas industry including, but not limited to: hydraulic fracturing drilling and completions activities, engagement with water regulatory bodies, and permitting / approvals. Client engagement and collaborative work with third-party technical teams. Mentorship and professional development of junior staff and peers. Technical and operations leadership on a variety of water management actions including: preparation of drilling and completions water management plans, and preparation of asset-based water operation strategies. Active participation in maintaining and enhancing White Oak Water's safety culture. Support and run various water hydrology and hydraulic modelling tasks. Support and develop asset and operational planning exercises.

What We Are Looking For



Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, with P.Eng. certification. Minimum 10 years of experience in consulting or operations within the oil and gas industry, mining or municipal sectors. Proficiency in hydrological modeling, water quality assessment, and risk analysis. Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, including provincial and federal environmental guidelines. Excellent communication skills to engage with clients, internal teams, regulators, and external partners. Ability to lead and mentor junior staff. Strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Self-starter, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm to learn and grow. Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record.
