Position Summary Based out of New Glasgow or Halifax, the Senior Vice President (SVP), People & Culture is a valued member of Crombie\xe2\x80\x99s Executive Committee and is a strategic business partner who provides leadership and counsel to translate our business strategy and priorities into People & Culture and Communications priorities, objectives, and programs. The SVP, People & Culture has accountability for the development and delivery of integrated people programs to ensure a strong organizational culture and consistent internal and external communications strategies. Additional duties of the SVP, People & Culture include but are not limited to:
  • Implementing integrated people and culture strategies that ensure a sustainable high-performing workforce.
  • Setting strategic organizational goals, targets and plans, annual G&A budgets, and organizational priorities; proactively managing these budgets and priorities on an annual and longer-term basis.
  • Leading and developing an experienced HR team and managing all aspects of the People & Culture function (e.g., DE&I, engagement, recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, analytics, succession planning, leadership development, performance, organizational effectiveness and design, occupational health and safety, wellness, corporate policy, engagement, change management etc.)
  • Fostering an environment of trust and cooperation, while maintaining a strong commitment to our vision and values.
  • Overseeing the preparation of Board and Committee materials on People & Culture items, ensuring the mandate of the Human Resources Committee is met, people and culture strategy aligns with business strategy and annual priorities, and all materials are accurate and timely.
  • Overseeing the Social aspect of ESG, ensuring that goals and objectives are realized and reported accurately in the annual ESG report.
  • Providing strategic advice and counsel to the Executive and Senior Leadership teams to enable business growth (NOI, FFO, AFFO, NAV).
  • Implementing, monitoring, and reporting on various people and culture KPIs; overseeing and providing recommendations on compensation analytics, including annual increases and bonus awards, as well as longer term adjustments to compensation programs and their design.
  • Overseeing internal and external communications, including focused attention on up-to-date information and media lines for the various projects in the public domain or likely to receive public or media interest (e.g., planning meetings, high profile leasing, major development projects).
  • Managing the design, build-out and maintenance of Crombie\xe2\x80\x99s corporate web and social media presence.
  • Establishing and implementing a national corporate identity and brand standards for all aspects of the business.
The profile we are looking for The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a university degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Relations, or a related field and has a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a similar role. The candidate has demonstrated strong people leadership and coaching skills and has the ability to manage complex situations while leading across a geographically diverse team. The candidate is a values-driven, caring leader with a solid reputation for developing cohesive, high-performing teams and maintaining collaborative working relationships with various stakeholders and business partners.
