Position Highlights
As Senior Vice President, Capital Infrastructure & Project Delivery, you will lead the delivery of BC Hydro's multi-billion-
dollar large capital portfolio on time and on budget, effectively manage our properties and land requirements, ensure the
company meets high environmental standards on projects and operations, and further strengthen our relationships with
Indigenous people of British Columbia. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, you will serve as a key member of the
Executive Team, setting corporate-wide priorities, optimizing project execution, and ensuring BC Hydro remains a leader in
energy infrastructure development.

In this high-impact role, you will oversee the Project Delivery, Environment, Properties, and Indigenous Relations teams,
ensuring alignment, regulatory compliance, and proactive stakeholder engagement including teams across the company.
Your ability to balance risk management, operational efficiency, and sustainability will shape how BC Hydro helps to foster
economic growth and increase energy supply across the province.
What you'll do
Set the Vision: Provide leadership, strategic direction, and governance across BC Hydro's Capital Infrastructure and
Project Delivery portfolio.
Oversee Multi-Billion Dollar Project Execution: Lead planning and delivery of large-scale generation, transmission, and
distribution capital projects, ensuring efficiency, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
Drive Innovation and Scalable Solutions: Identify, develop, and implement productivity improvement initiatives that
enhance efficiency, standardization, and scalability across British Columbia.
Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across the organization to develop best-in-class solutions that
align with BC Hydro's corporate vision and priorities.
Optimize Financial and Operational Performance: Manage budgets, track key results, and ensure project delivery meets
financial and operational objectives within a complex regulatory environment.
Strengthen Indigenous Relations: By building meaningful long-term relationships with First Nations across BC, advance
reconciliation in alignment with BC Hydro's Statement of Indigenous Principles and as outlined in its UNDRIP
Implementation Plan.
Champion Environmental Risk Management: Strategically manage environmental risks, impacts and opportunities through
the life of our assets, ensuring environmental compliance through effective company-wide governance, standards and
practices.
Support Stakeholder and Regulatory engagement: Connect with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and business
leaders to advance and achieve mutual goals.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and adaptation: Inspire and lead a workforce that values collaboration,
engagement, and continuous improvement that aligns with the urgency of our province's needs.
Report to the Executive Team and Board of Directors: Present insights, business plans, and results, ensuring alignment
with BC Hydro's overarching corporate strategy.
What you bring
Leadership Experience: A strategic business leader with at least 10 years of senior management experience, ideally in a
regulated energy or infrastructure environment.
Expertise in Large Capital Projects: A minimum of 15 years of capital infrastructure experience, successfully leading large-
scale projects with multi-stakeholder involvement.
Proven leadership in Indigenous Relations, with deep knowledge of Indigenous cultures, governance, and protocols.
Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships with Indigenous Nations and communities.
Proven Safety-First Mentality: Deep understanding of safety programs, with a commitment to fostering a risk-aware
corporate culture.
Influential Communicator: Ability to engage and inspire teams at all levels, from frontline employees to the Executive
Leadership team and Board of Directors.
Infrastructure Investment and Execution Expertise: Demonstrated success in developing long-term strategies, overseeing
large budgets, and ensuring fiscal accountability in multi-billion-dollar investments.
Environmental and Sustainability Leadership: A track record of aligning project delivery with BC Hydro's environmental
and sustainability goals.
Advanced Business Acumen: Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business administration, economics, or
equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
