KEY OBJECTIVE:



As a key member of the Financial Lines underwriting department, you will be responsible for managing and growing a Private and Not-for-profit Management and Professional Liability book of business for the Branch Accounts team. Your expertise will be critical in driving growth and ensuring profitability for this specialized line of business.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:



Risk selection, coverage negotiation and pricing adequacy on a renewal portfolio with a focus on Branch Accounts business. Market strategy and execution, developing and implementing market-specific strategies, providing tailored solutions based on current market conditions and broker requirements, and collaborating closely with branch leadership to execute effective marketing strategies. Business development by identifying, analyzing, and cultivating new business opportunities through actively promoting Chubb's products and leveraging your network to expand the book of business. Conduct comprehensive underwriting analysis to determine best course of action on a risk specific basis. Working in partnership with branch underwriters, Financial Lines peers, and management on new business and renewals, and facilitating cross-selling opportunities with Major Accounts. Building and maintaining robust relationships with brokers and insureds across the local region and Canada and educating brokers on the nuances of the Private and Not-for-Profit Management Liability segment. Engaging in continuous self-development to enhance technical product knowledge and stay abreast of industry trends.

Successful completion of a university degree or equivalent work experience is required. A minimum of 3 years of underwriting experience in Financial Lines is required, with experience in Management Liability insurance preferred. Proven experience in marketing or customer development within the insurance sector. Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service and foster strong business relationships. Proven negotiation skills, gained through established broker relationships. Demonstrated analytical skills with a comfort in financial analysis. Ability to be innovative and creative to develop new opportunities. Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment. Results oriented, accountable, and collaborative. Bilingualism in English and French considered strong asset.
The approximate salary for the role will be positioned between the salary range of $95,000 to $135,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors, including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location, and internal equity. Compensation may exceed the range listed based on the evaluation of skillset and experience.
