Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join our dynamic team within the corporate finance, commercial finance, ICI real estate, and project financing services industry. Duties

Conduct comprehensive risk analysis by collecting and interpreting relevant data to inform underwriting decisions. Evaluate financial documents to assess potential risks and determine appropriate collateral security coverage terms. Negotiate policy terms and conditions with brokers and clients to achieve mutually beneficial agreements while maintaining risk appetite. Develop and refine underwriting guidelines and policies to improve efficiency and consistency across the department. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Capital Markets to ensure alignment on underwriting strategies. Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions to adapt underwriting practices accordingly. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior underwriters, fostering professional development within the team.

Experience

Proven experience in risk analysis, underwriting, or related roles within the corporate finance, commercial finance, ICI real estate, and project financing services industry. Strong background in data collection, interpretation, and application of quantitative methods. Demonstrated expertise in negotiation with clients and stakeholders to secure favorable terms. Knowledge of financing policies, and regulatory requirements is highly desirable. Proficiency in math, accounting principles, and financial analysis tools is essential for accurate evaluation of risks. Excellent communication skills coupled with analytical thinking are necessary to succeed in this role.
