What You'll Be Doing

Business Effectiveness, AML strives to deliver improved frontline support, governance and controls, and a greater focus on client experience across CIBC's Anti-money laundering groups. As the Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Tester you'll support the monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of all the Anti-money Laundering (AML) Systems and AML data produced and consumed by AML Compliance. Adhering to the Enterprise Delivery Framework (EDF) methodology and effective use of standardized templates, you will be a key contributor to the creation of SIT, UAT and/or BAT test cases.
You'll lead the execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including reporting and analyzing of variances on major AML/ATF and Line of Business initiatives. You will contribute to the definition of the Regression Test Set, identify and appropriately analyze AML testing issues; and make recommendations on AML UAT testing processes and/or methodology improvements. You'll be developing new solutions to help manage AML risk and assisting the Senior Manager in assessing the integrity and quality of all AML data and system to ensure their adequacy. How You'll SucceedImplementation - Write test plans and test cases to ensure any anomalies are identified and ensure AML/ATF requirements are met so that the AML systems are appropriately implemented. Solutions Development - Support the Senior Manager in the development of new solutions to help manage AML risk by having an intimate understanding of systems and data, proactively identifying areas of possible failure to ensure the integrity and quality of all AML systems. Data Analysis - Present complex data and identifying, patterns and findings in meaningful ways by using skills in data query and data analytics identifying the best use of available data.


Who You AreYou can demonstrate experience in performing as a technology Quality Assurance (QA) professional for a minimum of 3 years incl. coding data monitoring rules for oracle or SQL data base. You are fluent in C+, C# or Python. It's an asset if you have experience as a technology tester of Anti-money laundering (AML) related systems/ technologies and if you have used advanced data visualization tools at a financial institution. You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way. You have a degree/diploma in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or related field and/or equivalent years of experience. You communicate effectively. You can articulate recommendation and build clear and concise presentations to help management make strategic and operational decisions. You are a problem solver. You possess solid judgment and problem-solving skills to provide input and advice to senior management for best compliance and risk management solutions. Values matter to you.
