RRole description: Arcadis is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Transportation Planner/Project Manager to join our growing Mobility Advisory team in Ontario. In this senior-level role, you will leverage substantial experience in managing diverse array of projects including transportation planning and engineering, as well as public transit initiatives (including BRT and LRT), along with multimodal work. With a passion for sharing knowledge, you will serve as an advisor and mentor to your colleagues, enhancing skills and expanding capacity within the team. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise, coupled with strong project management abilities and strategic problem-solving skills. You will oversee complex, multi-disciplinary, and strategic projects, as well as manage detailed technical studies. Your portfolio will include transportation and transit projects such as master plans, transit planning efforts, and feasibility studies, as well as work in transportation economics and equity. Additionally, you should have experience leading consultation programs with stakeholders, agencies, and the public. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods. Role accountabilities: Lead and manage the execution of complex transportation and transit planning and engineering projects ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction. Provide expert guidance and technical oversight in the development of innovative transportation and transit solutions and ensure work meets standards and client expectations. Support multi-disciplinary projects by collaborating across Mobility Advisory, and other global business groups to provide technical insights and expert advise to projects. Lead/manage transportation and transit planning projects conducting thorough network analysis, utilize advanced data analytics to inform decision making, and performing policy analysis to ensure alignment with standards. Lead the development of comprehensive plans and policies that promote sustainable and forward-thinking transportation solutions. Allocate and manage project resources efficiently, optimizing project workflows and enhancing team productivity to meet project demands. Foster innovation by keeping abreast of emerging trends and technologies in transportation and transit planning and engineering, integrating fresh strategies to enhance both efficiency and sustainability. Ensure all projects meet industry standards and quality expectations through rigorous review processes. Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of project delivery and client satisfaction. Build and maintain strong business relationships with public and private sector clients, including relationship management at senior management levels to ensure alignment with broader goals. Support business development efforts, including identifying growth opportunities, preparing proposals, and presenting to prospective clients. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Planning or Civil Engineering or a related field. Registered Professional Planner (RPP) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or equivalent. 10+ years of relevant experience in planning / engineering, including a track record of leading the development and implementation of transportation solutions focused on sustainable programs. Recognized expert in transportation and transit planning/engineering with a well-established professional network. Proven project success on various sized projects including effective direction of project teams for project execution. Strategic problem-solving skills and advanced technical knowledge in transportation planning / engineering. Strong professional consulting skills, including project management, client relationship management, and commercial acumen at senior management levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver professional presentations. The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $117,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
