Renewed Family Services Inc. is a company that provides individuals with disabilities the support they need to reach their potential. We provide individuals with needed support through our various programs including our ABA and IBI therapy program. In our ABA/IBI therapy program, we provide services to children, youth and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities to build on their socially significant behaviours while reducing maladaptive behaviours. We assist individuals with developing their communication, life skills, academics as well as assist them with shaping behaviour to reduce and/ or remove behaviours that may impact and impede on their development.

As a Lead Instructor Therapist, you will be shaping other individual's futures for the better by supporting them in developing skills based on their individual needs. This can include but is not limited to: self-help skills (ie. dressing, toileting), academic skills, fine motor and gross motor skills, social skills, play skills etc. The Lead Instructor Therapist will support clients in their home environment and in a centre based setting. The Lead Instructor Therapist will work in a hybrid position that additionally entails Senior Therapist duties and will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst implementing client individualized programs.
Lead Therapist Responsibilities:
Documentation of progress through data collection
Work 1:1 with clients or in a group setting
Implement individualized behaviour support plans to assist client with goals
Provide a fun, nurturing environment for clients being supported
Collaborate with client families, team members and other professionals for the development of client goals
Assist with shaping behaviour and developing new skills for the client
Ensure staff on shift are following centre expectations (signing in & out, wearing masks, working in appropriate therapy rooms etc.)
Opening and/or closing the centre (conducting safety checks etc.)
Ensure centre rooms are organized and clean after use
Assisting staff with trouble shooting a client need if required on the spot while ensuring their own client's needs are met
Support staff in event of an emergency (ie. direct staff to emergency exits etc.)
Understand centre operations and emergency procedures
Answer the centre phone
Report to BCBA re: centre follow up needs
Senior Therapist Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments and assessments on specific client goals
Consistent review client plans and progress
Constant communication with therapy teams and client families
Communicating and problem solving service gaps with the Clinical Supervisor
Provide updates to the Clinical Supervisor on client progress
Development and implementation of relevant trainings for staff
Monthly meetings with frontline staff
Ensure therapists are maintaining clinical binder and follow correct data collection procedures
Report any changes to status immediately to Clinical Supervisor
Assist in development of training for staff
Lead Instructor Therapist Requirements:
A Master's Degree in behavioural science or related field
Prior experience working as an Instructor Therapist
Must be available to work closing, opening shifts
Strong problem solving skills
Works well under pressure
Strong leadership skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Vulnerable sector check is required
