Duties and Responsibilities include and not limited to:

Working with RF and outside plants Operate and maintain equipment and tools System maintenance Troubleshoot and repair faulty cables, equipment, and power supplies Reporting daily emails Responsible for pre and post snapshots Update Nika Manager as directed Daily email requirements are to be submitted and completed by the end of the business day with items prior to leaving the site Maintaining active communication and responses Ensuring timely opening and closing change management tickets Properly ensuring safety procedures are followed including the proper use ladders, all Personal Protective Equipment Ensuring responsible condition and stability of the network and communication systems Safely operate and maintain company assigned vehicles Ability to work individually and in a team environment Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures Ability to adapt, maintain concentration, and mental awareness in a changing environment Ability to work under pressure Engage in all training requirements required by the Company Meet Key Performance Indicators and outlined targets as issued by the Company Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication coupled with excellent customer service skills Cutting in nodes and completing fibre tasks/projects Responsible for full scope and build including nodes, pig tails from the node, trunk distribution with all optic piece internally involved Knowledge and understanding of light levels, nodes, and all components from Head End to End of Line Responsible for full re and re of nodes including shoot backs, balancing, working with head end technicians, communication with all customers and all technicians Leadership skills: directing other technicians as required Ensuring daily reports are submitted to the appropriate personnel including management for project updates Additional duties and/or responsibilities will be assigned as required
Job Requirements:

Valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's Licence Driver's abstract clear of serious offences under the Highway Traffic Act Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs unassisted Working at various heights and ladder safety Highest commitment to safety; ensuring safe work practice and procedures are followed Knowledge of computer, phones, tablets for working productivity and efficiency Knowledge of Outside Cable Plants is required Working Conditions: Outdoor working environment: ability to work in all weather conditions Working at heights Movements can include crouching, lifting, bending, walking, climbing, sitting, standing, kneeling, etc.

Shift Information: Rotational Shift; occasional shifts outside normal working hours may be required. Night shift and on-call to complete work requirements made by the customer are required. Required flexibility with schedule changes are required by our customers and clients.

Work Location: Across Ontario; willing to travel within the Greater Toronto Area

Working at Heights Training Book 7 Traffic Control Training First Aid/CPR Training Telecommunications: 1 year experience RF/Fiber Cable Tech: 1 year experience
