The Senior Technology Lead provides advanced technical leadership and hands-on expertise to support and enhance technology services across the Division. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex endpoint, server, and network solutions that directly impact site operations and educational environments.


Working closely with Site Support, Networking, Infrastructure teams and Call Centre staff, the Senior Technology Lead ensures the standardization, reliability, and security of technology services while resolving escalated technical issues. The role requires strong expertise in SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, and enterprise endpoint management, with the ability to lead large-scale deployments, troubleshoot complex environments, and mentor technical staff.


The successful candidate will also contribute to strategic planning by researching emerging technologies, recommending improvements, and supporting long-term technology initiatives. Strong organizational skills, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to balance operational priorities with innovation are essential to success in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities:



Provide Technical Support (45%) Develop and design complex projects that impact the entire Division Guide and mentor members of the Site Support team Ensure standardization and consistency in technology services across the Division Collaborate with stakeholders to develop technical solutions for business needs. Coordinate technical efforts and mobilize resources for large-scale projects.

2. Resolve Technical Issues & Maintain Technical Systems (25%)

Address escalated technical requests from the Call Centre, Zone Leads and Endpoint analysts. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems efficiently Ensure timely resolution of issues to minimize disruption to Division operations. Document and share solutions to improve overall support processes Design, develop, and implement major changes to network endpoint systems. Ensure endpoint network reliability and security for all devices across the Division. Optimize system performance to support educational activities.] Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades to keep systems up to date

3. Research and Develop Emerging Technologies (20%)

Identify and evaluate new technologies that can benefit the Division. Design and implement innovative solutions to enhance educational technology. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to maintain cutting-edge practices. Provide recommendations for technology adoption and integration.

4. Contribute to Strategic Planning (10%)

Participate in the formulation and implementation of the Division's technology strategy. Provide insights and recommendations for long-term technology planning. Collaborate with senior management to align technology initiatives with organizational goals Advocate for technology investments that drive efficiency and innovation.

Knowledge:



Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related field.



Microsoft Certified Professional. In-depth knowledge of network security design and configuration. Understanding of security threats and vulnerabilities. Knowledge of analytical practices, troubleshooting local and wide area network problems, including Virtualization, Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP routing, and Authentication. Knowledgeable with enterprise services such as SCCM, SCVMM, SQL, IIS, DNS, ILM, ISA, Intune, M365, Azure Active Directory management, including CA's, GPO's and PowerShell Scripting. SCCM (OS deployment, application packaging, PowerShell scripting, compliance management, endpoint protection, software updates, client management, and troubleshooting) General knowledge of the Division's operations and business, and general understanding of the Division's mission and vision in a faith-based environment Intune (compliance management, application deployment, Autopilot, and Entra ID) Active Directory administration, including a deep understanding of Active Directory Certificate Services Networking concepts, including 802.1X configuration, DHCP, VLANs, and DNS Server management in enterprise environments Knowledge of records management principles, the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA), and the Access to Information Act (ATIA) Knowledge of workplace safety and awareness of Occupational Health and Safety regulations. Knowledge and alignment with the Division's administrative procedures.
