Our team is dedicated to evolving the wireless 5G Core architecture in Wireless Data Services. With your drive, love of technology, and passion for learning, you will embark on a journey exploring various 5G Core technologies in partnership with some of the leading global vendors. Your work will involve evaluating proof-of-concepts in private and public cloud space to producing final architectures for the 5G Core and beyond. You will work closely with senior members of the team, stakeholders, vendor partners and the 3GPP organization while ensuring the best customer experience.

What you\'ll do

  • Determine organization needs and identify 5G services specifications
  • Analyze the needs of large systems and break them down into smaller manageable parts
  • Plan and design the structure of technology systems, discuss these with the internal clients
  • Communicate best products and systems to clients
  • Communicate system requirements for network service developers, data processing developers; explain system structure to them and provide assistance throughout the service development process.
  • Choose suitable platforms (for 5G core) and suggest integration methods
  • Oversee development and implementation
  • Help resolve technical problems as and when they arise
  • Carry out testing procedures to ensure systems are running smoothly
  • Ensure that systems satisfy quality standards and procedures
  • Work with senior architects on requirements of the organization
  • Willing and able to travel on a short notice
What you bring
  • 5 years of experience in telecommunications system development and engineering for the wireless core involving fixed, mobile or IP networks
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Degree or equivalent
  • Experience with industry standards and regulations from organizations such as 3GPP, GSM Association, and ISED
  • Experience delivering professional services including network strategy, design and engineering, implementation, testing, customer training and on-site support.
  • Strong working level knowledge of IP Networking
  • Familiarity with a broad range of mobile services, including the design required to support; Voice and Data services, Multimedia services, Location services, Mission Critical services, Messaging services, \xe2\x80\x9cInternet of Things\xe2\x80\x9d services, \xe2\x80\x9cVehicle-to-X\xe2\x80\x9d services, New - Vertical Services, and familiarity with fixed network including Optical, IP and fiber architectures.
  • Knowledge in the technical aspects (i.e. regulatory, architecture, signaling, delivery, provisioning, virtualization and scaling) of multiple wireless access technologies
  • Familiarity with radio spectrum, Lawful Access, Cyber Security, AI implications and Privacy regulations and standards, including those written by the Canadian and United States governments (ISED, CRTC, and FCC) and by global organizations (ITU, CITEL, EU, OFCOM, etc.)

  • Ability to anticipate impacts based on proposed new regulations, or services to be introduced
  • Master degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Degree or equivalent
  • Experience as a wireless architect in the telec
