Senior Technical Writer in Toronto, Canada

We\'re looking for a Senior Technical Writer candidate with experience in writing, curating policies, SOPs etc to join our team in Toronto, Canada in hybrid/onsite role.

You will report to the Senior Director, Docummentation.

You will collaborate and excel within the documentation team. You will work with engineers, program managers, and other doc team members to create clear, useful content.

Technology You\'ll Use

Lucid Chart, video software such as Camtasia, or e-learning software such as Articulate Rise

Your Role Responsibilities? Here\'s What You\'ll Do

• Write and edit technical content that describes policies and standard operating procedures.
• Write and edit playbooks.
• Manage internal wiki pages, including regular reviews of content.
• Build product and infrastructure architecture diagrams.
• Develop, edit, and record training materials for an internal audience.
• Scribe and transcribe important meetings and whiteboarding sessions
• Track tasks, maintain schedules for specific projects, and communicate status to documentation lead and engineering leads.
• Edit content for completeness, style, and accuracy.

What We\'d Like to See

• Knowledge of cloud security and engineering operations
• Familiarity with compliance certifications like SOC 2, HIPPA, and FedRAMP
• Experience with content management systems, source control systems, Jira, and Confluence
• Experience with Lucid Chart, video software such as Camtasia, or e-learning software such as Articulate Rise
• Can use PowerPoint to surface information

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Project management skills
• Technical information
• Understand requirements and incorporate them into the documentation
• Can engage with partners to gather the required information needed to complete tasks.
• Work in a systematic manner while allowing scope for new and changing requirements.
• Can design processes and standards to improve the efficiency and productivity within the scope of process and operational documentation.
• BA/BS or equivalent educational background, we will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience
