We are seeking a forward-thinking and skilled English into French Senior Technical Translator to join our team, as we are getting ready to contribute to the delivery of the next generation of Canadian Destroyers as part of Canada's National Shipbuilding Strategy, being at the core of the communication efforts to support this state-of-the-art fleet. Translate complex technical documents

from English to French with precision, ensuring clarity, consistency, and readiness for client use.

Review and revise bilingual translations

produced by team members, providing quality control and assurance to maintain high standards across all deliverables.

Contribute to the development and maintenance

of terminology and phraseology databases to support consistency and accuracy in technical translations.

Support related tasks

such as formatting and document preparation to ensure final products meet client specifications.

Education



Bachelor's degree or recognized academic certification in translation from a Canadian educational institution. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.

Experience



Minimum of 8 years' experience in technical translation, with a strong focus on English-to-French documentation. Membership with the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interpretes agrees du Quebec (OTTIAQ)is considered an asset.


Due to the nature of our work, successful candidates must be eligible to obtain required government security clearances.
