OVERVIEW


We are seeking a

Senior Technical Specialist

to support enterprise reporting and data delivery platforms within a large, regulated financial services environment. This role requires deep hands-on expertise with

IBI WebFocus

,

Microsoft SQL Server

, and

Windows Server

technologies, with a strong focus on management and financial reporting.


The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing reporting solutions, supporting batch processing and month-end activities, and ensuring the reliability, performance, and accuracy of business-critical reports. This position is ideal for a senior-level technologist who is comfortable operating independently, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting highly visible reporting deliverables.

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST

Pay Rate:

$80-90/hour


RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting & Application Support

Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise reporting solutions using IBI WebFocus. Update and maintain WebFocus report source code to support evolving business and regulatory requirements. Administer and manage ReportCaster schedules for automated monthly and recurring report distributions.
Database & Data Processing

Support Microsoft SQL Server databases used for management and financial reporting. Perform SQL performance tuning, indexing, and troubleshooting to ensure reporting accuracy and efficiency. Support batch pipelines and scheduled processes related to reporting and month-end close activities.
Infrastructure & Platform Operations

Support Windows Server environments, including services, schedulers, file permissions, and access controls. Monitor and resolve application, server, and job execution errors impacting reporting timelines. Ensure system stability and availability for business-critical reporting workloads.
Testing, Documentation & Change Support

Support QA, UAT, and month-end processing activities tied to business-driven technology changes. Document system changes, report updates, acceptance criteria, and operational procedures. Collaborate with business and technology partners to validate reporting outputs and resolve issues. Infrastructure & Platform Support

Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments supporting physical security systems. Manage Active Directory design and operations, including GPOs, authentication, permissions, and access controls. Oversee MS SQL Server environments, including deployments, patching, monitoring, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
Security & Compliance

Implement and enforce security controls across endpoints, servers, firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, and vulnerability management tools. Ensure systems meet regulatory and audit requirements aligned with PCI DSS, SOX, GLBA, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks. Support audit activities by providing evidence, documentation, and control validation.
Virtualization, Networking & Operations

Maintain and enhance virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox). Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot firewalls and core network components. Maintain backup solutions, recovery plans, and business continuity processes.
Physical Security Integration

Coordinate with physical security teams to support access control systems, CCTV, badge systems, and related integrations. Provide technical support for physical security application incidents and system changes.
Automation, Documentation & Support

Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate operational and security tasks. Create and maintain technical documentation, policies, procedures, and architectural diagrams. Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support to IT and security teams. QUALIFICATIONS
Required

5+ years of hands-on development experience with IBI WebFocus, including ReportCaster administration. 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including performance tuning and indexing. Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows Server environments. Proven background supporting financial or management reporting systems. Experience troubleshooting batch pipelines and scheduled reporting jobs. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred

Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments. Familiarity with month-end close processes and time-sensitive reporting cycles. Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong documentation discipline and change-management awareness.
