Hiring Senior Technical Specialist - USA




Experience:


10+ fire protection engineering experience Active member of fire protection or other industry-based organization (SFPE, NFPA, CSA, CFSA, CASA, CNS, ANS, INPO, NRC,) Expert within at least one primary fire protection engineering service line Extensive client relationship management

Education:


Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or Applied Science (Degree in Fire Protection Engineering an asset); Professional Engineering (PE) License.

Responsibilities:


Developing and overseeing the service delivery process, including training and execution; Participate in the Sales Process for US operations; Promoting the image and protecting the welfare of PLC in professional activities; Provide engineering services as necessary to execute projects and meet client expectations; Maintaining adequate Technical and Project Management resources to execute projects within a timely manner; Provide oversight and sign-off of junior staff deliverables; Mentor junior staff members as per company requirements; Report on business KPIs as determined by Management; and Providing oversight to Technical and Project Management staff. Maintain professional competence and continuing education Meet performance objectives set by management Adhere to policies as outlined in PLC's Employee Handbook Enter time as per PLC's Quality Management System Support continuous improvement to PLC's Quality Management System Support with internal audits as required Support with other internal activities as required Represent PLC at technical associations Maintain membership with professional association(s) Attend assigned meetings with management Assist with developing technical training units

Skills:

Proficient and efficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.); Project management experience; Time management skills; Communication skills; Team player; and Ability to quickly learn and apply newly acquired skills.

Minimum Required Qualifications:


Valid Driver's License, onsite work is required on project sites; Literacy skills, be able to read, write and communicate proficiently in English; and Must be eligible to work in the United States
