This individual support planning and deployment aspects of customer projects. Through engagements completed with a Project team, Consultants and Engineers, you will support the development and implementation of integrated AMI systems/solutions for clients using company products, company proprietary tools/techniques and Third-Party products. You will review completed proposals for technical integrity, quantification of risk, and strategic direction prior to presentation to customer. You will provide both management and technical leadership while utilizing company tools to estimate projects and monitor planning and progress. Performance is typically measured by customer success, performance against budget, profitability, revenue growth, and utilization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project deliverables, managing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor and communicate solution status reports as required.
  • Manage risk including identification, assessment, contingency planning, mitigation, and monitoring across multiple projects.
  • Interface with other departments and organizations to prepare new project proposals.
  • Serve as liaison between the Project and internal support organizations including product marketing, and manufacturing.
  • Utilize company methods and processes to support the project
  • Utilize project management practices.
  • Provide customer feedback to the sales/marketing personnel with respect to desirable solution enhancements and features.
  • Responsible for engaging and managing Third-Party contractors assigned to project portfolio.
  • Ensures that the project is invoiced in accordance with policy and accounts receivable are maintained within terms
  • Participate in opportunity sales and contract negotiations as required.

Qualifications - External Required Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field or Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years direct large-scale, multi-phase project management, preferably for deployment of telecommunications networks (preferably wireless) and/or enterprise-scale software systems. Experience doing either of these for an investor-owned utility is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be able to describe multiple business situations where these skills have been leveraged.
  • Must possess above average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and concurrent projects.
  • Experience in personal computer operations and use of word processing, project management, spreadsheet programs plus experience with off-the-shelf and special-purpose test programs.
  • Experience and knowledge of gas, water and electric utility meter reading and related distribution automation technologies is desirable.
  • Technical training and knowledge of radio frequency equipment used in planning and installing radio network equipment and multiple wired/wireless wide area networks is desirable.
  • Experience with AMI, GIS, CIS and other utility systems is desirable.
  • Possess a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
