Job Description

Visionpool Business Services is hiring a Senior Technical Consultant - Cloud & Infrastructure to provide cost effective technology-based solutions for business projects. Architect and oversee all cloud and infrastructure deployments. Serve as a senior technology resource to provide direction and mentoring of other team members in the implementation of infrastructure, networking, and cloud-base projects.

Responsibilities
Provide technical architecture/design and network design for new projects
Implement infrastructure and networking solutions (Windows/Linux)
Oversee all technical maintenance (patching, firmware updates, upgrades)
Evaluate and recommend appropriate infrastructure for various projects
Manage various databases including Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc
Work with third party resources to consult on technology solutions being proposed for various projects. Mentor team to help implement solution recommendations for infrastructure projects
Document and diagram all technology-based solutions
Assist with maintenance and day-to-day activities for supporting both onsite and loud[1]based environments
Interact with all business unites to present, discuss, and recommend solution options
Provide various cloud solutions in both AWS and Azure environments
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of relevant experience
AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional preferred
AWS Certified DevOps Professional preferred Experience
20+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining a wide variety of technical solutions and environments
10+ years of experience with Windows and Unix (Linux) based server environments
10+ years of experience with networking and security-based concepts
5+ years of experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments
5+ years of experience with various relational databases including SQL Server, Oracle (11g and 12c), MySQL/MariaDB, AWS RDS
5+ years of experience working with Hyper-V, KVM, LXC, and other virtualization technologies
5+ years of experience with Microsoft TFS
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory
5+ years of experience with various storage technologies - SAN, NAS, and DAS
5+ years of experience with hybrid environments in AWS/Azure and on-premises systems
3+ years of experience with cluster technologies - Pacemaker, Linbit DRDB, Heartbeat
3+ years of experience with containers and various orchestrators - Docker Swarm, AWS ECS/EKS, Kubernetes and Nomad
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office 365
3+ years of experience with Apache SOLR and Elasticsearch
Experience with Veeam Backup and Recovery
Experience with Tenable and OWASP ZAP
Experience with Revive Ad Server
Experience with Disaster recovery planning and testing
Experience with the Enterprise Directory System (AMDOCS) and the Yellow Magic system would be a substantial asset
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, as well as customer development in VB.NET, C#, Python, and PowerShell are an asset
Experience with directory publishing / local search and directory-based marketing services industry is a substantial asset.
