(BMH3xR1)Our client is looking for a tax professional to join their team. This role reports to the VP Finance.Responsibilities:Oversee the preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns, indirect taxes (GST/HST, provincial sales tax), information returns and other regulatory filings for multiple legal entitiesManage income tax instalments, year-end estimates and final paymentsDevelop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax efficiencies, reduce risks, and enhance profitability across the company's operationsEnsure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and documentation requirements for intercompany transactionsManage tax accounting processes, including tax provisions under ASPE and tax-related financial statement disclosuresLiaise with tax authorities, manage tax audits, and respond to inquiries from the CRA and other regulatory bodiesIdentify opportunities for tax process automation and efficiency improvementsWork cross-functionally with finance, legal, and operations teams to assess tax implications of business transactionsQualifications:CPAMasters in taxation or CPA In-Depth Tax Course is an asset7+ years of corporate tax experience, preferably in the transportation and logistics industry or a similarly complex, multi-entity environmentStrong knowledge of Canadian corporate tax laws, indirect tax regulations, and tax accountingBasic knowledge of US Federal and State tax requirements is an assetExperience managing tax audits and working with tax authoritiesProficiency in tax software and ERP systems is an assetExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skillsStrong communication skills (verbal & written)
