Position: Senior Tax Consultant
Location: Toronto Downtown
Job Type: 3-month contract (potential for extension), hybrid, 2 days in office

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Provisions: Prepare quarterly and annual financial statement tax provisions with disclosures.
- Tax Expertise: Master tax account balances, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Strategic Insights: Assist with tax forecasts, planning, research, and industry analysis.
- Tax Compliance: File corporate income tax returns and related papers.
- Stakeholder Contact: Be the go-to for tax queries from stakeholders, auditors, and consultants.
- Audit Support: Help with government tax audits, documentation, and correspondence.
- Presentations: Deliver engaging presentations to internal teams.
- Controls Champion: Uphold our internal control framework and keep narratives updated.

Qualifications:

- Education: Undergrad degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
- CPA Mastery: Full CPA designation in Canada is highly desired.
- Experience: 5+ years in accounting and tax (public accounting or large Corp).
- Tax Knowledge: CPA Canada In Depth Tax or Mtax program.
- Analytical: Solve complex tax issues in dynamic settings.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Accounting Standards: IFRS knowledge, especially in taxation.
- Tech-Savvy: ERP, data analysis tools, SAP familiarity.
- Excel Expert: Advanced MS-Office skills, particularly Excel skills.
