About the Role

As a

Senior Systems Engineer

, you will act as a technical lead on client infrastructure projects, providing advanced network engineering expertise and supporting Tier III escalations from our Help Desk team. You'll be instrumental in ensuring high-quality service delivery, maintaining strong documentation practices, and embedding cybersecurity and compliance standards into every solution. ?

Key Responsibilities

Deliver infrastructure and network implementation projects in collaboration with internal teams and clients.

Provide Tier III support for escalated technical issues from Help Desk and field technicians.

Architect and deploy Windows Server environments, including hardware and virtualization (Hyper-V).

Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex network environments (LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, switches, routers).

Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Ensure cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards are followed.

Maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.

Collaborate with internal teams and clients to scope, plan, and deliver technical solutions.

Participate in rotating on-call and after-hours support schedule.

Conduct client site visits with professionalism, representing the company with integrity and clear communication.

Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and balance multiple priorities.

Required Qualifications

10 - 15 years of experience in the IT industry; previous MSP experience is a strong asset.

Advanced knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and server hardware.

Expertise in network engineering: routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless technologies.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and basic compliance standards.

Familiarity with ITIL Foundation concepts and service management workflows.

Experience with Hyper-V and other virtualization technologies.

Proficiency with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.

Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Office 365,

Proficiency with RMM and PSA tools, ticketing systems, and remote support platforms.

Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, Azure Administrator, or equivalent.

Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Professional demeanor and client-facing experience.

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with VMware or other virtualization platforms.

Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python).

Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP, or equivalent).

Experience with Unifi networking hardware and software.

Proficiency with macOS and iOS environments, including device management and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with Linux systems, including basic administration and command-line usage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
