POSITION SUMMARY:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring the seamless operation of all server and network hardware, software, firmware, operating systems, and databases, optimizing their performance and reliability.
  • Implementing robust security measures for servers, databases, and networks on-premises and in the cloud (AWS and Azure) to safeguard our valuable resources and ensure efficient access.
  • Managing and maintaining critical systems such as O365 tenant, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, firewall policies, and other account management functions, contributing to the smooth functioning of our organization.
  • Ensuring the integrity of our databases through regular backups, restores, and replication, minimizing the risk of data loss and maximizing the availability of critical information.
  • Providing comprehensive technical support for applications and operating systems, supporting a mixed PC/Mac environment, and ensuring optimal user experiences.
  • Maintaining meticulous documentation of systems, ensuring that critical information is accurately recorded and readily accessible to support efficient operations.
  • Offering second-level technical support, resolving complex issues, and providing guidance to team members when advanced technical expertise is required.
  • Participating in strategic planning, contributing to decision-making processes, and cultivating positive relationships with vendors to drive innovation and ensure the optimal utilization of technology resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational Background and Certifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science and 5 years of relevanet experience
  • Preferred certifications in AWS, Azure, or related fields
Technical Expertise:
  • Strong systems administration experience in AWS and Azure (Windows and Linux)
  • Proficiency in database administration with SQL Server and MySQL
  • Skilled in setting up and configuring servers, switches, routers, and firewalls (Windows and Linux)
  • Familiarity with configuration and monitoring tools for servers, databases, and networks
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (like VMware or Hyper-V)
  • Proficiency with scripting languages for automation tasks (like Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
  • Understanding of DevOps tools and methodologies (CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ITIL or other service management frameworks
  • Understanding of load balancing, clustering, and high availability concepts
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and systems hardening
Networking:
  • Minimum five years of network experience, troubleshooting various infrastructure, protocols, and wireless technologies
Project Management:
  • Proven project management experience, preferably with a certification like PMP
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation or provide after-hours support as necessary
Communication and Organizational Skills:
  • Strong documentation skills to ensure system setups are replicable and issues are properly logged
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical colleagues or clients
  • Detail-oriented with an organized and efficient working style
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, demonstrating a team-player attitude
Problem-solving and Adaptability:
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Capacity to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Proven ability to research and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies
Salary and Terms of Employment

SALARY: $88,538.20 - $109,811.20

SCHEDULE: 35 hours

PROBATIONARY PERIOD: 6 months
