What You'll Do

Independently evaluate, adapt, and apply advanced engineering concepts to challenging structural problems, often devising new or customized solutions. Develop clear, high-quality deliverables that communicate effectively with clients. Proactively coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and internal experts, expanding your network and influence across the industry. Contribute to proposals and represent Thornton Tomasetti's technical excellence in client-facing interactions. Collaborate internally on initiatives involving sustainability, resilience, forensics, renewal, and protective design. Build leadership capability by understanding how structural decisions impact innovation, project outcomes, and long-term client value. Mentor junior engineers, enhancing your ability to influence and elevate team performance.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering; Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or eligibility to obtain it. 6+ years of structural engineering experience, ideally within a consulting environment. Strong background in analytical modelling, detailing, and advanced engineering concepts (steel, concrete, seismic, tall buildings, specialty structures, etc.). Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to grow into a technical leader.
