NETGEAR is currently looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to develop software for our Orbi WiFi Mesh systems working out of our Bangalore, India facility.

What you will do

  • Design and develop the embedded software for our next generation Orbi WiFi Mesh products.
  • Design, build and launch new product features for the Orbi devices
  • Debug and fix issues at software system and component levels
  • Collaborate with the mobile apps, cloud and services teams to define new APIs and architectural components
  • Ensure proper process and procedures are followed to ensure quality software development
What you will bring
  • 10+ years of experience in an embedded software development role using C or C++
  • Extensive experience with embedded Linux development
  • Knowledge of Linux networking stack and related networking protocols
  • Experience with Linux kernel and driver debugging and development
  • Knowledge of 802.11 WiFi family of protocols
  • Knowledge of the OpenWRT linux distribution
  • Understanding of build processes and software re-use techniques
  • Experience working using a formal software process using JIRA, Confluence, git, etc
  • Experience with interfacing physical devices to the cloud
  • Experience with the design and implementation of APIs and data abstraction layers
  • Minimum Education: Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering
