Responsibilities:
Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and review financial statements, working papers, and notes.
Prepare and review personal and corporate tax returns.
File HST, WSIB, and other regulatory returns.
Act as the primary contact for assigned clients, responding to queries and providing advisory support.
Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and providing feedback.
Identify opportunities to streamline client processes and add value beyond compliance.
Qualification
Minimum 3 years' experience in a public practice accounting firm (senior-level experience preferred).
Strong technical accounting (ASPE and ASPNO) and tax knowledge (personal and corporate).
Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
Proficiency with Caseware/Caseview, Excel, and TaxCycle.
Familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Sage is an asset.
CPA designation (or working toward completion) is preferred.
