About this position:
Position reports to: Director of Technical Operations, Projects, Data Management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Analysis
Reporting & Visualization of data
Business KPIs & Performance Analysis Creation and Tracking
Data Mining & Forecasting - Connect to datasets on any platform with IT help. Extract valuable insights for datasets and apply statistical modeling and data mining techniques to uncover hidden patterns and correlations. Also develop forecasting models to predict business outcomes and trends based on historical data and industry insights.
Data Governance & Quality Assurance - Working with IT to ensure templates and standards are enforced.
Stakeholder Collaboration - Working with internal management in the Maintenance & Engineering department as well as external departments e.g. IT, Finance & external vendors e.g. AQD, TRAX etc.

Skills & Qualifications:
Post Secondary Education (4 years)
Five (5) years of previous experience
Excellent analytical skills: A strong aptitude for data analysis. with the ability to extract insights from
complex datasets and identify trends, patterns, and correlations. Proficiency in using analytical tools and techniques is essential. Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Jasper as well as data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and database management systems. Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing is a plus.
Statistical and Quantitative Analysis: Proficiency in statistical analysis.
Data Visualization: Experience in creating visually appealing and insightful dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, or similar software. The ability for effectively communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner is crucial.
Business Acumen: A solid understanding of business AMO, Airline operations, processes, and key performance indicators (KPIS). The ability to connect data analysis to business objectives and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to identity and address business challenges through data analysis. The capacity to break down complex problems into manageable components and develop effective solutions.
Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to data analysis ensuring accuracy and precision in data collection, transformation, and reporting. The ability to spot data errors and inconsistencies.
Adaptability & Learning Agility - Have the right attitude to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, tools & methodologies in the rapidly evolving fiend of business intelligence and analytics.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related discipline. Prior experience in business intelligence, data analysis, data visualization in an aviation context.
